ZLB & ZLQ series axial flow pump

ZLB & ZLQ series pumps are single-stage vertical axial flow pumps. There are 39 types of ZLB and ZLQ pump products, among which the diameter of 40 inches or more can be made into a fully adjustable (ZLQ) pump.

Structural characteristics

This type of pump can be designed as a dual foundation vertical split structure or a motor pump direct connection single foundation structure.

1. Double foundation vertical split structure

A pump is mainly composed of a pump body, a transmission device, a transmission shaft, etc.

The main body of the axial flow pump consists of an inlet horn, impeller, guide vane body, outlet bend, shaft, and bearing. The composition of the packing seal is shown in the figure. The pump shaft is supported by two sets of water lubricated rubber bearings at both ends, and the surface of the shaft neck is plated with hard chromium.

Two sets of nuts are installed at each end of the pump shaft, which are respectively fixed to the hub body and coupling. When the pump is running, the axial force is borne by the thrust bearing inside the transmission device.

The axial displacement of the pump rotor is adjusted by the round nut inside the transmission device.

The axial force of the pump, the weight of the transmission device and motor, and the weight of the rotor are all borne by the floor foundation supporting the transmission device. The weight of the pump casing is borne by the pump foundation.

A middle drive shaft is installed between the vertical motor and the water pump, with an elastic coupling at the motor end of the drive shaft and a rigid coupling at the water pump end. The installation height L of the motor shall be agreed upon by the user and the manufacturer.

The length of the transmission shaft is generally used within the “L” size range specified in the installation outline drawing. If it exceeds the specified size, an intermediate bearing needs to be installed.

The outlet channel of an axial flow pump generally adopts a straight cone diffusion outlet pipe, with an outlet valve installed at the end.

The impeller has undergone static balance testing.

The gap between the hub body and the guide vane body is 0.5-0.6% of the pump outlet diameter.

The cylindrical impeller chamber is cast as a whole with the inlet horn, and the blade placement angle is installed in place at once according to the user’s requirements, and the user is not allowed to change it arbitrarily.

The gap between the outer edge of the impeller and the impeller chamber is about 0.1% of the impeller diameter. When the conveying medium is sewage or impurities, the gap should be appropriately increased.

Steering: When viewed from the direction of the motor, the water pump rotates clockwise.

2. Motor and pump directly connected single foundation structure

This type of pump is directly connected to the motor through a motor support, and the pump outlet can be designed above or below the foundation layer according to engineering requirements.

The axial water thrust is converted into internal force of the unit, which is not transmitted to the foundation, greatly reducing the design strength requirements of the foundation load.

This model is easy to install and maintain, without the need for an intermediate transmission shaft.

The pump can be designed as a rotor component extraction type or an integral extraction type.

The pump shaft can be designed with protective tubes and lubricated with clean water to cool the sliding bearings, in order to adapt to working conditions where the medium contains particles.

The pump inlet channel can adopt an elliptical inlet channel to improve cavitation resistance and device efficiency.
