Structural features
1. Pump body
VSD series pumps are volute type axially split double suction pumps.
The shell is an axial split structure. The suction and discharge ports are in the lower half of the shell components. Remove the upper components (shell and bearing), and the rotor can be completely exposed. Without removing the pipeline and pipeline valves, the whole rotor component can be removed for maintenance.
The water pressure chamber is a double volute structure to balance the radial force and eliminate or reduce the alternating stress acting on the rotor.
The thickness of the upper and lower split faces of the pump body is large, and the deformation of the pump body is small under high pressure, which is suitable for higher working pressure occasions.
The pump body can be installed in two ways: foot installation and installation close to the center line, which can be selected according to the temperature of the transmission medium.
2. Impeller
The double suction impeller is equipped with a closed flow channel and a replaceable wear ring, which separates it from the shell parts.
The high-precision blade geometry ensures that the pump has the characteristics of high efficiency, low NPSH, large allowable working area, stable operation and small pressure fluctuation.
The impeller is of double suction structure, which can effectively balance the axial force.
All impellers and rotors are subject to dynamic balance test according to the g2.5 level of API610 standard to ensure that each pump runs smoothly and has little vibration.
3. Bearing and lubrication
The bearing body is divided axially. After the pump cover and upper bearing body are disassembled, the whole rotor can be removed to facilitate the maintenance and assembly of the pump.
The radial force is absorbed by the radial roller bearing at the shaft extension end, and the bearing at the non shaft extension end is a radial thrust ball bearing installed back-to-back to determine the axial position of the rotor and absorb the remaining liquid axial thrust.
The bearing is lubricated with thin oil and equipped with an oil slinger. The large oil pool design can ensure the service life of the bearing is more than 40000 hours.
When transporting high-temperature medium, the bearing body adopts the structure with integral radiator and fan cooling, or uses external cooling water for forced cooling.
